Selena Chiu worked in the lab as a fourth-year undergraduate student in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Her interests lie in the application of chemical engineering, computation, and biology to human health. Her work in the lab focused on modeling biofilm formation in heterogeneous media. She then moved on to graduate school at Stanford.

Selena grew up in Hong Kong, then Vancouver, before braving the cold to attend Princeton. As a result, she speaks with a mix of British, Canadian, and American accents, but refuses to adopt the Australian pronunciation of data (not datta!). When she's free, you might find her bellydancing, dreaming of Canadian pine forests in her nap, or satisfying her inner adrenaline junkie sky- and cliff- diving.
