MaryKate (MK) Neff was an undergraduate student in Chemical and Biological Engineering who performed senior thesis research in the lab studying the deformations of hydrogels. She moved on to a Master's program at Duke University.

MaryKate was born and raised in Villanova, Pennsylvania which is a suburb right outside of Philadelphia. She is currently a varsity athlete at Princeton on the Field Hockey Team where she has won two Ivy League Titles and has played in two NCAA Final Fours and a National Championship. She is also currently a member of the U22 Women's National Field Hockey Team. In her free time, she enjoys painting, practicing yoga, mastering new vegan recipes, and scoping out fun coffee shops.
