Alba García Vázquez (she/her/hers) is a visiting PhD student from Liselotte Jauffred's Lab at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. Her research focuses in patterning formation in bacterial colonies but she is also interested in many research questions within biological physics and ecology as how bacterial communities respond to external stress such as antibiotics, bacterial motily and cross-feeding within microbial communities. 

Outside the lab, Alba likes to be active but from time to time she would not say no to a good Sunday's nap. She spends most of her free time playing sports,  being in nature, traveling, reading, painting, and negotiating with her cat Cinzas so she allows her to sleep at night.
