Bio/Description

Carolina Trenado Yuste (she/her/hers) is a postdoctoral researcher at the LSI co-advised with Ned Wingreen and Celeste Nelson. She did her PhD in Applied Mathematics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where she studied flocking and collective cell migration. Her research focuses on the emergent properties of living systems, their collective behavior, self-organization, and the interaction with their environment.

Carolina has been a traveler since she was a child! She was born in Lleida, raised in Toledo, and started her studies in Salamanca before moving to Madrid. Her professional career as a musician was cut short when math came onto the scene. In her free time, she likes to watch series, go to the gym, travel, and listen to music.
