About
Bio/Description

Ahmed Al Harraq is a CPBF postdoctoral fellow co-advised with Josh Shaevitz. He studied chemical engineering at the University of Strathclyde, and then earned his PhD at Louisiana State University for experimental research on non-equilibrium colloidal phenomena. At Princeton, Ahmed is venturing into studies of living matter in complex environments.

Ahmed was born in Iraq, grew up in Italy, and studied in Scotland, before moving to the USA. In his free time, he equally enjoys hiking in nature and walking in cities with his wife, Sydney, and their dog, Gibbs. He is an avid fan of everything Tolkien and claims that his papers should be read while listening to the soundtrack of the Lord of the Rings trilogy because that's what he was listening to while writing them.
