February 2020: Joanna, Nancy, and Sujit demonstrated what happens when you work side-by-side with someone for too long... you start to dress the same (again)!
February 2020: The lab went out to get all-you-can-eat sushi. And of course, because we are competitive, we turned it into a contest... with Jean-François winning after consuming a whopping 120 pieces of sashimi, sushi, and gyoza combined. Friend of the lab Evan came in second place with 118 pieces, and Chris came in third with a more reasonable-but still very impressive-70 pieces. Condolences to all of their digestive tracts...

August 2019: With a heavy heart we said goodbye to Felix, who visited the lab from Germany this summer. Felix worked on not one but two projects and made significant accomplishments to each. You will be missed!

June 2019: Welcome new friends! This week, we welcomed three new members to the lab: Felix Kratz, a visiting student from Germany, Jean-François Louf, a postdoc from France, and Kim Lu, who just completed her first year as an undergraduate at Princeton!
June 2019: With a heavy heart we said bye for the last time to Jeremy, the very first postdoc to have ever joined the group back in October 2017. He now moves on to a faculty position at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas!
June 2019: It was bittersweet, but we celebrated Emily and Rhea graduating and leaving the lab for greener pastures. Emily is going on to graduate school at Caltech and Rhea is going on to graduate school at UVa. Keep making us proud!
May 2019: We celebrated the end of the semester with a lab lunch at Rockefeller College. This summer's going to be great!

We have a weekly journal club where we survey the literature relevant to our work. And ours is the hippest journal club around: we even have a theme song, thanks to in-house musician Shalaka Madge! Lyrics: "This is DJ Hyrdo and MC Porous comin' at you... It's j-j-j-j-j-Journal Time!"
In our lab we work hard, but we also play (board games) hard!
